Oh, sure, I have opinions about the use of I-131 as a therapy for Graves’
Disease. I also have an open mind and want to learn in order to assess
the truth of the matter. I’m NOT a wild-eyed radical -- although I AM wild-eyed
– but that’s one of the side-effects of Graves’! (Some research suggests
that Thyroid Eye Disease is exacerbated by I-131.)

Curie: A measure of the amount of radiation emitted per second by radioactive chemicals, named after Marie Curie, the discoverer of radium. It is the number of disintegrations taking place each second in 1 gram of radium, leading to the emission of some 37 billion gamma rays or other particles every second.
millicurie -- one one-thousandth of a curie.
microcurie -- one millionth of a curie.
picocurie -- one trillionth of a curie or one micro-microcurie.
